Why we started Clearway
We’ve run our own business for more than 20 years. So we know what it feels like to open an IRS letter from the owner’s side of the desk. Your stomach drops. You read it three times. And you still aren’t sure what they want from you.
Katrina spent 13 years helping Arkansas families get through a government system that doesn’t explain itself. There were deadlines, forms, and rules at every turn. She saw how much a calm voice and a plain answer could change someone’s week.
Phillip has spent six years on one kind of work: fixing IRS problems. Over and over, he met the same kinds of people.
- Some had waited too long, because they were scared to look.
- Some had paid a national company a lot of money and gotten very little back.
- Some had been put on a payment plan for a balance nobody ever questioned.
That last group bothered us the most. The IRS’s number is a claim, not a final answer. Sometimes it’s wrong. You deserve someone who checks it before you pay a dime of it.
So we started Clearway. We’re a husband-and-wife firm based in Bryant, Arkansas. We help people across all 50 states, by phone and video.
What we do, and what we don’t
We do one thing. We help people and businesses with IRS and Arkansas state tax debt. That means letters, garnishments, frozen bank accounts, old unfiled years, and balances that keep growing.
We don’t do regular tax returns. We only prepare the back returns our clients need to fix their case. That keeps us focused on one job: getting you out from under this.
