Why it matters who answers the phone
When you owe the IRS, you’re trusting someone with a lot. Your money, your paycheck, maybe your home. You should know who that someone is. And they should answer to you.
That’s hard to find at the big national “tax relief” companies. Many of them run the same way.
- A salesperson answers first. Their job is to sign you up, and many are paid by the sale.
- They promise before they look. You hear what they can “get you” before anyone has read your IRS records.
- The big fee comes up front. You pay thousands before the real work starts.
- There’s a new face every call. Your case manager changes, and you explain it all again.
- The fee grows with your debt. Some charge a percentage of what you owe, so a bigger bill means a bigger fee.
Phillip has met a lot of people who went that route first. Many of them paid a lot and got little back. Some ended up on a payment plan they could have set up on their own.
How we’re different
We’re a husband-and-wife firm. There are two of us, and we’re the ones who do the work. No one else touches your file.
That means we can’t pass the blame. If we told you something, we said it. If a deadline is coming, we’re the ones watching it. Our name is on every letter we send for you.
Rooted in Central Arkansas
We’re based in Bryant, in Central Arkansas. We’ve run our own business here for more than 20 years. So we know the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, or DFA. That’s the state’s tax office. Lots of people who owe the IRS owe the state too, and we handle both.
We also work with people in all 50 states. Almost everything happens by phone, video, and secure upload. You don’t have to live nearby to work with us.
